Look at the rules the ules state we all should be honest and sportmanship and not to cut the corner. Its as simple as that and if your caught cutting it and not giving the place back youll be deducted last. This league is set up for honest decent racers. so its expected of everyone to be decent enough not to cut it.

I understand that, but there will be always different styles and I can be sure that if we play with these rules, there will be always discussions about drivers who don't have the same understanding of the rules. If you want to have a good solution for that, you have to delete monza, redwood park and california I think of the championship... And so, no problems anymore...

That's a point of view, but it reflects mine. I like monza and redwood park very much, but your rules won't solve everything...

Rules state 2 wheels must be on the white line. Its easy enuf to tell if someones cut the corner by them sudenly pulling a few seconds on you.

with all due respect sir I think you being too simplistic! when the thing starts and people overtake one another and come to these corners things won't be as simplistic!

I agree with who said it's then best to just delete this 3 tracks from the league! Anyone who drives fast will always be suspected of "breaking" the rules.

Why complicate things it's not real F-1  Cheesy

p.s. If the rules states 2 wheels must be on the white line when the race starts I will be the first to respect it but I really don't agree with it just looked what Hamilton did in Spa  Grin

We have to honnor this rule (2 wheels on the tarmak at all times).

It's easy and it's not supposed to cause a problem to respect it if honnor and sportmanship is your prority (as it should for all drivers in the league here).

No track should be removed. If you fear this corner, drive slower in it. If you think you might go outside because of other cars well just attempt to pass them elsewhere.

It never should be hard or be a problem. And when you see someone not respecting the rules, you call him out simply. The "master" of the race (that will make sure he keep tracks of points, call outs, etc) and the league's responsable/moderator people will sanction or disqualify people who disrespect the rules too often.

I've been in a TOCA 2-3 league for 3 years with only simple rules based on honnor and it did work wonderfully. We were all serious drivers and focusing on sportsmanship, there's hasn't been any major problems. We obviously can do it here too.

The rules state we should be sportsmanship and honest. And the rules  state if anyone is caught cheating then they will be reported and droped to last place. No tracks are going to be deleted. People should honour the Rules and as you say. Focus honouring these rules and respecting other drivers.

I agree with that makes the game much more fun! But one question AdZVaughan....

How about tracks like Hockenheim where I've seeing and learned to go off-track before some corners to hit the corner in a straight line! Is that allowed?? rules doesn't say anything about taking secondary asphalts!!

We have been discussing this and I dont know. I mean in real life I'v seen this allowed but again it is crossing the line and gainign an advantage. Before each track there should be a discussion of what is expected of everyone to clear things before hand.

I'm alright with everything that's been said before, but remember that's a game and it's perhaps too complicated to imitate real racing... The game has failures and to prevent unfair races because of "cheaters", it's sometimes better to allow everybody to drive with it. If a real driver could physically cut corners or drive outside of the track to have a better line, he would have done it!

I'll play for sure with all the rules you want if it's the way it should be in the league.

Another topic :

How about a competitive 2. League? It's said that the league 1 is the most competitive league and the league 2 is more for beginners... But, the timezone can be a problem for some drivers (like me) to compete in the 1. League.
How about two leagues with "equal" chances, the only difference would be the timezone. At the end of the season, we'll take the 2 or 3 best of each league and do a super final on 2, 3 or 4 races??

It's just an idea... What do you think?
